1. Simple steps for changing car oil at home

Changing motorcycle oil at home is a familiar task for many people. But what about cars? Although they are quite large and have complex engines, you can completely change the oil yourself at home in 4 simple steps:

Step 1: Lift the car chassis

First, choose a level surface to park the car, then shift to Park. Next, remove the key and apply the handbrake, then wait 5-10 minutes to let the engine cool down and the oil to cool.

After the oil has cooled, place the jack under the front chassis frame and raise it approximately 45cm above the ground. If you don't use a jack, drive the car onto a dedicated steel ramp (pay attention to the indentation on the ramp to keep the vehicle stable during the oil change).

Finally, wedge the rear wheels to prevent the car from rolling. If using a steel ramp, you should still use wheel chocks to ensure safety during the oil change.
