AMSOIL Power Foam® (APF) improves engine performance by removing sludge, varnish, and carbon deposits that affect power output, operation, idle quality, and fuel economy. Power Foam cleans intake valves, intake runners, and throttle plates to keep the fuel induction system operating at peak efficiency. Effective for both two and four-stroke gasoline engines, Power Foam helps reduce engine noise and keeps the carburetor and fuel injection system operating like new.
Power Foam is safe for fuel injectors, catalytic converters, and emissions control devices. It will not damage gaskets, seals, rubber, or plastic materials commonly used in gasoline engines.

- Protect painted surfaces and the mass airflow (MAF) sensor from spray overspray.
- Ensure application in a well-ventilated area.
- Run the engine to normal operating temperature and remove the air cleaner assembly.
- With the engine running, spray foam directly into the throttle body as quickly as possible without stalling the engine. Usually the engine must be revved at no load to facilitate this process.
- Turn off the engine and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Replace the air filter.
Restart the engine. Repeat Power Foam application if necessary.
In severe cases, remove the carburetor and soak the components.
Recommendations
Avoid contact with soft hoses and external plastic components. To prevent paint damage, do not over-spray. Clean any excess foam residue immediately to prevent unintended damage to components. AMSOIL Power Foam is not recommended for use in diesel engines or as a multipurpose degreaser.
