AMSOIL DOT 3 & 4 synthetic brake fluid maintains ABS performance and maximum road grip control. Brake fluid functions as a hydraulic fluid, transmitting force and lubricating brake system components while resisting corrosion. It must withstand extreme temperatures and the inevitable moisture contamination that can damage the brake system.
Water Contamination Protection
Water contaminates the brake system by seeping through microscopic holes in brake lines and brake hoses and through the reservoir cap. Brake fluid itself is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture. Once introduced into the system, water reduces the boiling point and affects performance. It corrodes brake components, lines, and seals, leading to eventual failure.
