Firm Brake Pedal Feel
High pressure and temperature are common in brake systems and can push brake fluid beyond its boiling point, causing it to vaporize or "boil." Water contamination can accelerate this process, resulting in a spongy or unresponsive brake pedal feel (vapor lock). Conversely, the unique chemistry behind AMSOIL synthetic brake fluid raises the boiling point far beyond DOT standards, even when contaminated with 3.7% water. AMSOIL brake fluid maintains stable viscosity and flows easily at the high pressures generated in modern automotive brake systems to deliver firm, reliable braking performance. A nitrogen barrier layer is added to each bottle during manufacturing to eliminate moisture and ensure maximum performance levels.
Extremely High Boiling Point
AMSOIL DOMINATOR® DOT 4 synthetic racing brake fluid has an extremely high boiling point of 410°F (wet) and 580°F (dry). It maintains low compressibility under the most severe racing conditions.
*Equilibrium reflux boiling point dry (ERBP) is the boiling point of new brake fluid.
- **Wet ERBP is the boiling point of brake fluid that has absorbed 3.7% water. Just 3.7% water contamination is typically sufficient to reduce the boiling point of DOT 3 fluid below the DOT minimum.

- Use AMSOIL DOMINATOR® DOT 4 synthetic racing brake fluid in racing applications requiring a DOT 4 product. Replace fluid once per year for maximum performance.
