1. Cool Down the Engine

Before performing car maintenance, you need to allow 15-20 minutes for the engine to cool down and dissipate heat if you've just driven it from outside. This is a small tip but extremely useful to ensure that the car cleaning process runs smoothly.

A hot engine can easily be damaged if it comes into direct contact with cold water jets. Additionally, once the engine has cooled, cover the electrical components with plastic sheets to protect them and prevent plastic from melting due to heat.

2. Remove the Engine Hood

Once the engine has cooled, remove the engine hood and protective plastic pieces from the vehicle body. This allows you to clean each component thoroughly and reach the most difficult-to-clean crevices in the engine.

If careful, you can remove the power source before cleaning. However, make sure you've disconnected the negative terminal from the power source to prevent internal electrical components and parts from being damaged.

Remove the hood to ensure thorough and comprehensive cleaning.

3. Protect Electrical Components

Next, cover the electrical components or conducting parts of the vehicle with plastic bags to prevent electrical shorts, water ingress, or other technical problems. Cover important mechanical components such as spark plugs, electrical systems, ignition wires, and necessary electrical equipment.
