Amsoil Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease (Grease)

Amsoil synthetic water-resistant grease is an extreme pressure grease specially formulated for wet applications. Composed of high-quality synthetic base oil and calcium-sulfonate complex thickener, Water-Resistant Grease provides exceptional film strength, shear resistance, adhesive properties, and mechanical stability. Its outstanding water washout and spray-off resistance makes it ideal for applications with frequent contact with water, mud, snow, or ice, including ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and boat trailers.

PROTECTION AGAINST WASHOUT AND SPRAY-OFF

Amsoil synthetic water-resistant grease's superior wet performance is formulated with super-durable bonding and adhesive chemicals. It binds together upon contact with water and adheres firmly to metal surfaces when wet, protecting components during prolonged contact with standing water or high-pressure conditions.

CORROSION PROTECTION

Frequent or prolonged water contact can increase corrosion, leading to metal surface damage and component deterioration. Water-resistant grease seals metal surfaces and resists chemical corrosion, making it ideal for applications with heavy exposure to water, mud, snow, or ice.

Water-resistant grease's load-carrying and extreme pressure capability protects components from metal-to-metal contact even under heavy loads. Its extreme pressure additives protect against continuous or sudden extreme loads to provide reliable anti-wear protection.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS

Amsoil synthetic water-resistant grease meets the highest performance standards set by the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) for wheel bearing applications (GC) and chassis applications (LB). It can be used in automotive wheel bearings, chassis, or other applications where NLGI #2 GC or LB grease is recommended.

MAINTENANCE AND APPLICATION

Maintaining a clean working environment is important when lubricating equipment. Clean grease fittings before pumping grease to prevent contaminant entry. Apply grease from 1/3 to 1/2 of the bearing cavity. Do not over-grease as this may cause excessive heat buildup. Perform routine grease maintenance by cleaning and repacking the cavity with fresh grease according to the established maintenance schedule.
