MAXIMIZE POWER AND PERFORMANCE

Using 1.3 oz per gallon of gasoline (3.7ml solution per 3.78L gasoline), Motorcycle Octane Boost increases the octane rating of gasoline by up to three points. The increased octane rating improves horsepower and can eliminate engine knock or ping that steals performance and can cause damage.

IMPROVE LOW RPM PERFORMANCE

Engine knock is particularly noticeable on some motorcycles when operating unloaded or at low RPM and riding at high temperatures. Most modern motorcycles are equipped with sophisticated engine knock detection systems that can adjust ignition timing and air-fuel mixture until knock ceases. Although these systems protect the engine from damage, they can also reduce horsepower and cause poor performance at low RPM. AMSOIL Motorcycle Octane Boost helps reduce the demand on the knock detection system to compensate, ensuring maximum performance and power at low RPM on modern motorcycles.

CLEAN STUBBORN DEPOSITS

WHAT IS ENGINE KNOCK AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

The detonation tendency of hydrocarbon fuel such as gasoline is measured by its octane number. Lower numbers indicate greater knock tendency; higher numbers indicate greater knock control ability. Engine knock is the sound created from uncontrolled combustion of fuel in the combustion chamber and premature ignition.
